The people most affected by the healthcare system are rarely the ones shaping it. That's what we're here to change — one story at a time.
Episodic was founded by Chelsey Miguel, a STEM enthusiast and advocate from Maui, Hawaiʻi, after she was diagnosed with lupus during high school. "I felt like one of the best ways to cope with my diagnosis was the form of art and storytelling. I want to harbor a safe space where people can freely express themselves throughout the emotional turmoil or about their own lived experience."
We believe illness doesn't pause a life. It creates a different kind of life. Episodic is the mixture of poetry, personal essay, and advocacy.
We don't sugarcoat the bad days. We seek the raw, unpolished truth of what it means to live in a body that demands attention.
Design is an act of care. Our platform is built for everyone, regardless of their current capacity or energy level.
Resilience isn't just "getting through it." It's the creativity found in adaptation. We celebrate the art of the pivot.
